Achieve Your Dreams with What, Who & Why

Uncategorized Mar 15, 2021

We all have dreams and ideas that we'd like to see come to LIFE! But the steps to turning those dreams into tangible realities can be elusive.

Let me share a few things I've discovered along the way. I call it the WHAT, WHO & WHY.

The first step in bringing your visions to fruition is to NAME it; WHAT is it?

Answer this question: WHAT do you really want?

WHAT do you REALLY want?

Because if you’re going to bring any vision to life, it’s going to take a lot of effort, energy, persistence, focus, and (probably) a good dose of failure. You've got to REALLY want it.

Get clear about your vision upfront. Name the WHAT; describe it in detail.
Go ahead. Be bold. No one else can articulate your dreams as well as you can. Even if it feels vulnerable and scary - claim it!

Next up: WHO?

Achieving your WHAT (your vision) is much easier if you’ve done the hard work of really getting to know yourself.

YOU are the most uniquely suited WHO to achieve your dreams.

  • Is your vision a natural extension of YOU?
  • Does it align with your strengths, abilities, and motives?

If your vision doesn't feel personally motivating, it'll be a struggle.

It's still possible, but sustaining the energy and drive to achieve a big dream can be challenging when the vision isn't connected to your authentic self.

Make sure that your WHAT is a natural extension of WHO you are. Get to know your inner motives and challenges. Take the time to dig deep.

Want to achieve a big bold DREAM? It takes perseverance, grit, and resilience. Find your PURPOSE!

Finally: WHY

The final ingredient of this powerful trifecta may be the most critical. WHY?

Motivation is the true driver.

Achieving a dream takes perseverance, grit, and resilience.

Sustaining focus for a long period of time becomes infinitely easier when we have a PURPOSE and know what's IN IT FOR US.

The key question is: Who and what will be served as we complete our mission?

My personal vision is to create Happy, High-Energy, and Highly Productive Workplaces. Why? Because I remember how draining it was, day-in and day-out, working in a place where my strengths were invisible, my work product didn't seem to matter, and where no one cared too much about my growth. I know it doesn't have to be that way. Remembering those feelings renews my commitment to helping others create Happy, High-Energy, and Highly Productive Workplaces!

Ready to put this 3-part plan into action?

  • NAME your WHAT (your goal, hope, or dream)
  • Make sure it aligns with your WHO (your strengths and abilities)
  • And get clear on your WHY.

Ensuring that all three are aligned will accelerate your success and turn your big, bold dream into a reality!
